Announcing Total Processing's Payment Gateway Plugin for WooCommerce.

*Amended July 2020*

At Total Processing, we are pleased to announce the release of our WooCommerce plugin to facilitate payments via our payment gateway for websites built on the WordPress platform.

**What is WooCommerce?**

29.36% of online stores currently use a variation of the WooCommerce checkout, falling in line with the statistic that as of January 2020, 3,876,748 websites actively use a WooCommerce plugin (or 6.8% of the top million websites use WooCommerce as an e-commerce platform).

Dominating the market against competitors such as Shopify and Magento, WooCommerce is used by businesses worldwide.

**Security with a choice; without compromise:**

Now available on the official WooCommerce store, the plugin allows the tactically rich capabilities of our payment gateway to be hosted via a PCI compliant iframe. As a result, users of the plugin can process payments without the need to become PCI-compliant themselves.

With the secured parameters brought about by PCI DSS compliance (established by the world’s major card brands to protect cardholder data) and our hosted payment solution transactions are securely tokenised to safely store data and resultantly enable one-click checkout and ‘remember me’ functionalities for future purchases.

After downloading the plug-in, users will be able to manage chargebacks and view their transactions from the WooCommerce dashboard, as well as issue refunds from the plugin’s backend.

Users of the WooCommerce plugin can take payments via Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, as well as Google Pay, with planned integration of Apple Pay due in next year.

In order to customise the plugin to each and every shopping platform, users will be able to switch between live and test platforms to design and demonstrate potential customer journeys and checkout flows, without losing any revenue in a live storefront. However, before processing through the Total Processing Gateway, users will need to apply for a MID (Merchant Identification Number) to process live payments. This functionality is available directly through the plugin.
Taking payments needn’t be a complicated process. Make sure to visit any of the jumps above to learn more on our gateway and the guaranteed security businesses achieve in processing with Total Processing.
